Robert McGuinn is a Research Program Manager at the Northern Gulf Institute, a NOAA Cooperative Institute which is affiliated with the National Centers for Environmental Information in Stennis, Mississippi. He is also the Data Systems Manager for the National Marine Fisheries Service's Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program. Robert has been a NOAA affiliate for 18 years working in the area of conservation biology, with a focus on the application of spatial analysis, remote sensing, and data stewardship to the problems of site prioritization, natural resource management decision-making, and landscape characterization. He is based in Charleston, South Carolina at the Hollings Marine Laboratory.
