For over 20 years, ESIP meetings have brought together the most innovative thinkers and leaders around Earth science data, thus forming a community dedicated to making Earth science data more discoverable, accessible and useful to researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the public. The theme of this year’s meeting is "Data for All People: From Generation to Use and Understanding."

As the Director of Earth Sciences Solutions at Esri, I use my geospatial Earth sciences and marketing passions, to amplify how Earth observations, mapping, and geospatial solutions provide a means to make our planet a thriving one. I LOVE how Earth Observations couple with geospatial thinking can help us to transform our society to preserve sustainability and create prosperity for ALL living beings on Earth.  I have been involved with Earth Observations research for topographic and geological mapping and forestry and agriculture applications for the past 20+ years. My research has been focused on Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR/InSAR) and Drone data to estimate landcover and canopy and terrain height over diverse environments and large geographic extents common in North America and the Asia Pacific. I am the co-author of the ASPRS DEM User’s Manual Chapter 7 (3rd edition), a chapter on DEMs (Digital Elevation Models) derived from IFSAR. My career has granted me the opportunity to lecture and visit fellow remote sensing professionals across the globe. I have a Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences (Physics), a Remote Sensing Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing, and a B.Sc. degree in Physics and Geology.
